I live in the US; originally from East Africa; traveled, worked, and lived in other countries/continents. Although I have lived outside of the African continent for more than half my life, I remain very interested in issues affecting the Continent. Like many immigrants, I sometimes feel like I have two identities – one formed in my new country and the other from the country of my birth. It can be a useful dichotomy because it helps one become more balanced in the view of the world…and possibly, view of oneself.
Most of the content on Pay Attention will be geared towards African business, society, and politics. From time to time, I will also post content related to my story – told from the lens of a professional, a father, an immigrant, a traveler, a learner, a teacher, an advocate…a black man.
Thanks for visiting…Y
